Revolutionary War Pension Certificate for William Barkley

This Certificate of Pension states that William Barkley served as a private for 15 months and 26 days in a South Carolina regiment during the Revolutionary War. Mr. Barkley was living in Morgan County in December 1833, when his pension was issued and sent to John W. Porter at the Madison courthouse. Mr. Barkley was to be paid $52.88 per year for his service.
