Revolutionary War Pension Certificate for William Gilbert
This Certificate of Pension states that William Gilbert served as a private for 14 months in a North Carolina regiment during the Revolutionary War. Mr. Gilbert was living in Walton County, Georgia, in September, 1833, when his pension was issued and sent to Monroe. In his application, Mr. Gilbert indicated that he had lived in Morgan County at some point after his service. Mr. Gilbert was to be paid $46.66 per year for his service.
